Kate and Marty had exquisite tastes and were just an all around great couple to collaborate with for their wedding day! Since our salon is sort of a one stop shop, we had the huge honor of serving Kate in both wedding flowers and helping her find her dream wedding gown. With two different looks in mind, Kate was sure to stun them all.

Kate chose the elegant Georgia gown custom made by one of our favorite designers, Modern Trousseau. Our seamstress, Diane, used the lace sent by Modern Trousseau (it was the same lace used on the Georgia) and hand sewn the custom fitted bolero topped with the sweetest of bows laid perfectly in the back. The genius behind this is that after the ceremony, you are free to take off the bolero and wow your guests for another classic strapless look at the reception. How sweet is that?!

For Kate and Martys wedding reception we focused on classic floral elements, like the beautiful and lush hydrangea that were spotted at every table, along with curly willow that graced and pushed the height of our vertical and tall vases, and strands of clear jeweled crystals that hung delicately from each of our large centerpieces. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets paired so nicely against the gowns because their tone was complimentary and in the same palette, ravishing in smell, and lush in the best florals our store could recommend. We adored this wedding!

Fearrington Village Wedding | Modern Trousseau Gown

Toni was such a sweet soul, we could tell instantly once she walked in to our downtown Durham bridal salon that she had the best of hearts. She had such a classic way about her, we wanted to make sure that the gown of her dreams reflected her perfectly. One of our favorite designers, Modern Trousseau, came through and wowed not only her but her entire family!

The gown of choice, the Virginia gown, an elegant French lace gown with an A-line skirt and V-neckline (originally), looked absolutely breathtaking on Toni. The French Aloncon lace appliques are embroidered onto a tulle skirt and it just made for the classiest of gowns. Not only is Modern Trousseau one of our favorites due to their exquisiteness and beauty of lace, all of their gowns are custom made–we take about twenty measurements and Modern Trousseau creates a gown that fits perfectly on each lady.

With this in mind, we knew we could go the extra mile with the Virginia dress and really give Toni everything that she had hoped for. Instead of the deep v-neck, we collaborated with Modern Trousseau and created a strapless sweetheart neckline. These are the details that we really adore and how amazing is it that this dress was constructed for one lady only? So sweet!

Mallory and Justin had the cutest Cotton Room wedding! We love the simplicity of their classic bouquets topped with gorgeous low and lush floral arrangements that sprinkled throughout the venue on the guest tables. We were so happy to have worked with such an amazing couple on their most important day of their life. Love how these images turned out!

Graylyn Wedding in Winston-Salem, NC | Durham Bridal Shop

There are some wedding venues that just make your jaw drop! When you have a beautiful bride gracing its area, it just makes it that much prettier! These were our exact thoughts upon seeing Graysons wedding day photos! Her wedding took place at the gorgeous Graylyn Estate located in Winston Salem, NC. She came to us looking for her dream gown, and found the perfect one–the San Patrick Zaile gown! With its off-white color, this meshed so well with the decor of her venue and the sweet details matched throughout.

We absolutely adored collaborating with Grayson and are just so smitten with how ravishing she looks in one of our gowns!

JB Duke Hotel Wedding | Durham Wedding Florist

Shelley and Nishant had gorgeous wedding florals! We have to admit, once we received the images from their photographer we felt as though we cried a bit! Drop dead beautiful, in every sense. Shelley and Nishant had both a Hindu and Catholic ceremony. We loved the many venues that were used for the joining and celebration of these two families. The JB Duke Hotel, Washington Duke Inn, and Duke Chapel all played an important role in this couples wedding day festivities. Miss Hayley Paige Gown | Durham Bridal Salon

Erin was just a doll to collaborate with! She chose one of our all time favorite gowns, the Daffodil gown by Hayley Paige, as her wedding dress! Oh my goodness! All of the feels! The Daffodil gown, also known as style 1353, is a strapless dupioni gown with a ruched boddess, a beautiful beaded sashed waist, and the prettiest cascading ruffled horsehair on the back with her chapel train. This gown is darling and is a beauty even when it is bustled!

Duke Gardens Wedding | Durham Florist

Meredith and Brett had the most beautiful florals for their Duke Gardens wedding! Meredith held a luscious bouquet with accents of silver greenery, like seeded eucalyptus, with pops of ivories and deep reds. It was beautiful, festive, and just so fun to make! Her bridesmaid dresses were of a dusty blues and grey, so we wanted something to compliment that color pattern without taking away from all of the girls gowns.

Meredith and Bretts wedding hosted so many fun elements, like the oyster shuck, an awesome reception band, and a huge wedding cake! We loved the element of the green wall that hosted all of the guests table numbers! It’s the little details like this that really make our hearts sing!

The best part about this downtown Durham wedding is seeing our couples faces when they see each other for the first time, their first look. Our bridal bouquet even made its debut for this special occasion! How sweet!

It’s not very often you receive dreamy film images from one of your past brides! Amanda was a joy to collaborate with, and we were totally smitten with her! We were head over heels when she found her dream wedding gown at our downtown Durham bridal shop! Seriously, this Blue Willow gown fits her like a glove and we could not be any happier to have helped her find this!

Saxapahaw Wedding | Haw River Ballroom Florist

Kristen and Stephen had the most beautiful, rustic, Haw River Ballroom wedding! We love that the details screamed their personalities! One of our favorite details of their day was the deer antlers that were sprinkled throughout the entire venue. We placed them as centerpieces on about every other table, and placed beautiful florals amongst them that matched Kristens bridesmaids dresses. The colors donned for this wedding were a beautiful coral, shades of pink, ivories, and blush. The most adorable floral pieces are the acorn boutonnieres! How beautiful did everything come together?!
